Absecon Lighthouse is the 171 feet, tallest lighthouse in New Jersey and the third tallest lighthouse in the U.S. It is one of the oldest lighthouses in the country. Visitors are willing to climb 228 steps up the restored tower and see breathtaking views of the Atlantic City. This lighthouse was opened in 1857 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
