Haddonfield got incorporated by a New Jersey Legislature Act on 6th of April, 1875; within parts of ‘Haddon Township’; on the basis of results of referendum that had been held the same day. In the year 1894, this borough got separated with regards to Haddon Township in the form of an exclusive municipality.
As per US Census Bureau, total area of Haddonfield is 7.4 sq. Km; out of which 1.05% consists of water. Cooper River goes on to form boundary between Cherry Hill and Haddonfield. Land borders are being shared with Tavistock, Barrington, Haddon Heights, and Haddon Township.
