Morristown went on to become characterized in the form of ‘military capital of the American Revolution’ owing to strategic role played by it in ‘War for Independence’ from ‘Great Britain’. After American Revolution, this European colony became state of ‘New Jersey’ and nearly a century after beginning of American revolution, Morristown got incorporated as town on 6th of April, 1865 by the Act of ‘New Jersey Legislature’.
