Parsippany is a Township in Morris County in the state of New Jersey in USA.It is also known as Parsippany-Troy Hills Township and was incorporated in 1928. This is the most popular municipality in Morris County. The name Parsippany comes from the Lenape Native American Word parsipanong, which means “the place where the river winds through the valley”. The Unincorporated area Lake Hiawatha is located within the township.The population is 50,649 as per the 2000 census; there were 19,624 households and 13,167 families residing in the township. It had a population density of 2,115.5 people per square mile.
