The Great Falls of the Passaic River is a well-known waterfall on the Passaic River. It is one of the United States' taller waterfalls and has played a major role in the industrial development of New Jersey.
During floods the Great Falls offers a spectacular vista with a remarkable amount of cascading water. Garret Mountain Reservation has an observation tower which offers exotic views of New York City.
A two mile road encircles the reservation park The Park offers jogging and walking trails, picnic spots and many activities for relaxing and enjoying the scenery.
Lambert Castle Museum displays a rich variety of maps, pictures and historical artifacts about the castle and surrounding area.
Rifle Camp Park has an observatory with a mounted telescope offering sky-observation to the public on specific nights throughout the year. It also has a nature museum.
