East Rutherford is a city that can be found in the county of Bergen, in the state of New Jersey in the United States. This city is an inner suburb of New York City. This city was formed from parts of Englewood and Ridgefield Townships. The name of this city was derived from the Dutch “Tiene Neck” which means “Willows”. The houses of this city are of a typical colonial type and have known to exist since war times. The city is measured to be 16.9 sq. kilometres vast with land being the most of it. The city is situated at the centre of the Passaic River and the Hackensack River. The total number of people residing here is 39,019 according to a recent census. The NJ Transit Line serves as the backbone of transport here. The average temperature measured here is around 16 degrees. There are heavy showers in the month of October and November. This city has a mayor-council type of administration.
