Tinton Falls is a borough, located in Monmouth county of New Jersey, United States. It was incorporated on August 15, 1950. It is home to the highest waterfall in New Jersey. Geographically Tinton Falls is located at 40°16’41” north and 74°west. The borough covers a total area of about 15.6 sq miles. It is located at about 118 ft above sea level. The borough has a total population of about 19,158 individuals with a population density of 965.7 per sq miles as of the 2000 census. According to the census 15053 people, 5,833 households and 3,976 families reside in the borough. The maximum percentage of the borough’s population is about 78.80%25 which hails from the White origin followed by Afro Americans with 13.04%25 and Asians with 4.96%25 and a small percentage of mixed races. Tinton Falls was established because of its ironworks which came into being because of the presence of abundant iron ore and forest woods. Its ironworks are still the most important in the whole of New Jersey.
