Trenton is the capital city of New Jersey, USA. It is also the county seat of Mercer County.

Located in west-central New Jersey, Trenton lies on the east bank of the Delaware River, north of Philadelphia. Assunpink Creek cuts across Trenton, which is situated on a plateau.

Trenton largely experiences a continental climate. The annual average temperature of the city is 13°C. January has a mean temperature of 0.2°C while July experiences an average temperature of 25°C.

The population of Trenton is approximately 84,600. The government (state, county and municipal) forms the largest sector in New Jersey. Some of the items and goods produced in the city are chemicals, fabricated metal products, wood and lumber products and textiles.
