Vineland is a borough located in Cumberland County, New Jersey, United States. The city was incorporated as a borough on May 28, 1880. The city land was once purchased by Charles K. Landis in 1861 near Millville along a railroad line to create his own city. The geographical co-ordinates of the city are 39° 28’ 49” N, and 75° 00’ 50” W. The population of the city as per the census of 2007 was 58,505, with the population density of 316.3 per km sq. The city encloses an area of 178.7 km sq, of which 177.9 km sq is land and 0.8 km sq is covered with water. The city is approximately 61 km from the Atlantic Ocean. Vineland is the birth place of the famous Welch’s grape juice. The city is home to the largest farmer’s cooperative on the east coast. The average precipitation of the city is 4 inches. Vineland enjoys the lowest temperature of 19°F in January and the highest temperature of 89°F in July. It receives a maximum of 6 inch of snowfall.
