Giampietro memorial park was named after a former mayor Albert. The park was purchased from Stewart Estate for only $1.00. The park covers an area of 52 acres which includes 10 acre of lake, 6 acre of conservation area, picnic pavilion, a Band Shell and a Tot-Lot. The lake attracts many visitors of the city with its beautiful natural surroundings. It provides boating and swimming and on the weekends the park community offers boating and swimming at low costs.
