Wayne is a Township which is situated in Passaic County in New Jersey. It is situated less than 15 miles from midtown Manhattan. It was ranked as the best places with 32nd number on Money magazine in 2006. Wayne is known also for its number of lakes and neighborhoods which are situated around them.

As per the United States 2000 census, the population of the town was 54,069. Wayne was formed as a township in 1847. In 2009, the town population is 55,679 people. Since 2000, the population grew to 3.58 percent.
