The Intrepid Sea Air Museum was opened in 1982. It tells us about the aircraft carrier USS Intrepid, the submarine USS Growler and a Concorde supersonic airplane used in World War II and about twenty five air crafts.Adults and children enjoys exiting exhibitions ranging from historical re-creations such as Kamikaze, day of darkness, day of light to new interactive displays. Visitors are also allowed riding in the A-6 cockpit simulator. The aim of this museum is to honor their heroes, educate the public and inspire the youth.
