West Orange is a township in central Essex County in New Jersey. It connects the South Mountain Reservation. This township was formed as a township in the year 1863 and was reformed in 1900. West Orange was initially a part of the Newark city till 1806. After its incorporation in 1872, it was fragmented into small communities, and West Orange came into conception in 1862.
