Wildwood: Attractions and more...
The North Wildwood Borough is home to the 15-m high Hereford Inlet Lighthouse, whose beacon can be seen nearly 24 km away.
Wildwood has a popular beach and a 4-km boardwalk that passes by the Morey’s Piers amusement complex (which has over a hundred rides to offer). The Splash Zone Water Park has the world’s highest dumping bucket, located among several ‘doo-wop’ styled hotels that are considered to be historic places.
One of the highlights of the boardwalk is a yellow-blue coloured trolley called Tramcar, which offers rides from one end of the boardwalk to the other. Also, book a 42-km roundtrip through the scenic county aboard the historic Cape May Seashore Lines railroad.
When in Wildwood, make sure to try the Lime Rickey, a mixture of alcoholic cocktails with lime. You can also be a part of exciting events like the Irish Festival in September, the Christmas Parade in December and the St Patrick’s Parade in March.
