City of rocks state Park is located in North of Deming. There are mysterious rocks that are formed due to volcanic eruption some 30 million years back. These rocks were carved by wind and worn by rain giving shape to monolithic blocks. Recently a public night sky observatory has been added. You can find some animals such as Mule deer, antelopes and jackrabbits.
