General opinion:  The meaning of the name of the city has Spanish origin, meaning “holy faith”. It has Sangre de Christo Mountains to it’s eat side and is the capital city of New Mexico state. For an outdoor trip, visit the Santa Fe Opera House which is a host to music events in the month of July and August. The place itself is amazing to look at, showcasing mesmerizing opera shows. Do take advantage of the tours on Saturday’s which will give you a chance to see what goes behind the scenes, costumes and various sets being built for each individual show. To know about the history behind Chocolate and to explore ... More cultural blending through food, go to the Museum of International Folk Art. It also features short films, a scent station, a formula exchange and a world map showing food magnets. Do eat at the Museum Hill Café from their special menu and check out the Gift Shop. The collection also includes streets and village scenes and miniature historical buildings from 100 different places. Plan a picnic trip with your family at Hyde Memorial, right in the center of the Santa Fe National Forest. Enjoy the natural beauty, while hiking and camping here.

General opinion:  Santa Fe is the capital of the US state of New Mexico. It is America’s oldest capital city and also the highest, with an elevation of more than 2,100 m above sea level. Santa Fe is the seat of the Santa Fe County.  
Although the city has the Santa Fe Municipal Airport, travellers prefer using the Albuquerque International Sunport, which is located to the south of the city and is an hour’s drive away.
Santa Fe experiences warm summers with temperatures rising higher than 30°C, and cold winters with temperatures between –10°C and 4°C. With about 13 cm of snowfall in ... More the winter months, several people come to Santa Fe to ski.
Santa Fe has more than 70,000 residents. Owing to its rich cultural heritage, Spanish history, outdoor activities and a tourist-friendly climate, it receives a lot of visitors every year.
