Hammel Museum is owned and operated by the Socorro County Historical Society. This museum opened was as a beer garden and became a brewery, an ice plant, a soda bottling plant before finally ending as an ice plant. It is remarkable for many reasons because initially the building was small, but as business grew the building also grew. It has 8 rooms which include an office, Mash room, Cold storage, Engine room, Boiler room, freezing room and cold room.
