National World War II Museum
Rating:
The National World War II Museum is situated in the Business centre district of New Orleans and is designated by the Congress as the country’s official museum which displays the stories and personal experiences of the American people during World War II.

The great interactive displays and historic artefacts give descriptions of the Normandy invasions and exhibit the courage, sacrifice and hope of the people who fought, won and changed the world for the people in the Pacific and Europe.

The museum has a huge lobby where aircrafts and other objects are hung from the ceiling.

There are many stories in the museum which can be accessed by lifts and the tourists start their tour of the museum from the top most floors as the displays are laid in chronological order which start from the top.

The top floor displays the social, economic and political features that led to the war and the D-Day. The military strengths of the different nations along with the attacks on Hiroshima and Nagasaki are also included.

There are 2 auditoriums and a gift shop in the museum.
