Tulip Festival features a highly ‘anticipated’ spring tradition being continued with regards to blossoming of around 200000 tulip bulbs in to an ocean of colors; that too, during celebration of Mother’s Day in Washington park. Numerous historic events occur on an annual basis; inclusive of street scrubbing along State Street, tradition of Tulip Queen Coronation, Royal tulip Ball, Court Luncheon, and Tulip Queen. On Saturday afternoon, Albany Queen gets crowned. Various nominees undergo competitive process of interview. 5 finalists get chosen for attending the ceremony thereafter.
