One of the oldest museums in United States, the Albany Institute of History & Art was founded in 1791. The museum is devoted in preserving, collecting, promoting as well as interpreting the culture, art and history of the Albany. The museum also houses a shop which sells items that resemble current exhibition and also the works of local artists.
