Albany Pine Bush Discovery Center is one of the best remaining examples of an inland Pine Barrens ecosystem environment in the world located in the heart of the Capital District Region in Albany. This gently rolling sand plain is home to a unique diversity of animals and plants, including 20 rare species and two rare natural communities.
This center offers many outings and programs about ecology, the natural and cultural history of the Pine Bush area as well as other programs. Pine Bush Preserve commission was created by the NYS Legislature in 1988.
