Situated in the Alexandria Bay the heart of the Thousand Island region is the Thousand Island Winery which is the northern most winery in the state of New York. The winery covers the area of 28 acres and was established in 1881. The operations of the winery began in 2003. The winery also provides guided tours and free wine tasting to visitors.
