The Babylon town is situated in the southwestern part of Suffolk County, New York and USA.
Babylon was once known as Huntington South. It came into existence in the year 1872 as a result of the partition of the town of Huntington.
Within the town of Babylon there is one village Babylon. The village of Babylon was a crossroad with an inn and a general store. Community started developing when people from north and west started coming and settled here. Apart from Babylon village there are two other villages: Amityville located in the southwest part of the town and Lindenhurst located in between Babylon village and Amityville.
The town of Babylon is surrounded by barrier beaches.
With a charming scenic beauty this town has an estimated population of 211,792 people. Babylon is a best place to spend vacation with family as it has a moderate climate and interesting sightseeing.
