With a reputation rivaling that of Manhattan’s Central Park, Prospect Park is an urban paradise in the heart of Brooklyn, New York. This 585-acre park is a landscape masterpiece that was the brainchild of the same architects of Central Park, Frederick Law Olmsted and Calvert Vaux. A waterfall nestled into the park is testament to the meticulousness and purpose with which the park was designed. It is brimming with breathtaking features likes the Long Meadow, the Picnic House, the Prospect Park Zoo, the first urban Audubon Center and Brooklyn’s only lake and forest.

With so much to offer visitors, Prospect Park lends itself perfectly to any recreational activity, whether it be skating, jogging, biking, birding, boating or picnicking. In addition to impromptu leisurely activities, Prospect Park is a hugely popular venue for special occasions and events, such as the Celebrate Brooklyn! Performing Arts Festival, summer concerts series held at the Prospect Park Bandshell as well as private parties and weddings. The vast, breathtaking grounds could be perfect for your next big event or just your next day in the park. For more information about Brooklyn’s spectacular Prospect Park, call (718) 965-8951.
