Bay Ridge had been developed in the year 1879 as one of the resort towns to serve wealthy Manhattanites. Harborside location of Bay Ridge, thereafter, became a well-known destination. It was then that public transportation started serving this region. With a whale of park space and quaint streets, Bay Ridge goes on to maintain an extremely peaceful charm of ‘waterfront resort’. One can refer to Bay Ridge as a family-oriented neighborhood. Historically, it’s Italian and Irish; and home to a huge Arab community; apart from constellation of Chinese-Americans, Greeks, and Russians.
