Cobble Hill is home to many quiet streets which are lined with quaint brownstones and Court Street’s happening bars and restaurants. This neighborhood stretches from Atlantic Avenue to Douglass Street and from Columbia to Smith Street. This neighborhood is situated in the New York City borough of Brooklyn. It is a part of Brooklyn Community Board 6. This area is historically Italian and is served by two commercial main streets, Smith and Court Streets. Their major attractions are the family run shops and the Italian meat markets. Until 1970s, Cobble Hill along with Carroll Gardens was known as South Brooklyn.
