Fort Greene can be described as a neighborhood located in Brooklyn, New York City. It has been listed on New York State registry; as well as on National register of Historic Places. The name ‘Fort Greene’ has been given after ‘American revolutionary War era fort’ which had been established in the year 1776 under Rhode Island’s Nathanael Greene. This neighborhood contains several superb instances of mid-nineteenth century Eastlake and Italianate architecture.
