Park Slope is a neighborhood in the western section of Brooklyn in New York City. Park Slope is also bounded by Prospect Park West, Fourth Avenue, Flatbush and 15th Street. It is named from its location on the west slope of neighboring Prospect Park. Its primary commercial streets are Seventh Avenue and Fifth Avenue. This neighborhood’s east and west side streets are populated by many historic brownstones. Park Slope is characterized by many historic buildings, bars, shops, restaurants and such attractions. With a population of 62,200 as per the 2000 census, its population density is 68,000 per square mile.
