The Albright Knox Art Gallery is a major showplace for modern and contemporary art and is situated on Delaware Park in Buffalo. Its parent organization is the Buffalo Fine Arts Academy which got founded in 1862. This is the oldest public arts institutions in United States. John J Albright, a wealthy industrialist of Buffalo and also an entrepreneur and philanthropist, began Albright Knox construction for this academy in 1890. Designed by Edward Broadhead Green, it got completed by 1905. The Albright Knox gallery collections include art works throughout the centuries.
