Steeplechase Park can be described as one of the amusement parks located in Coney Island. It functioned as an ‘amusement park’ between 1897 and 1964. In the year 1907, it had been destroyed by fire. Restoration took place, but not meeting the standards of Original Park. This site got acquired in the year 1965 by ‘Fred Trump’. He took the decision of demolishing this park; prior to giving it ‘Landmark’ status.
