Copiague is a small village that is located in the Suffolk County of New York in United States. The village is situated more or less 70 miles to the east of Montauk Point and 35 miles to the west of New York City. The village is also surrounded by Lindenhurst, Amityville and the Great South Bay. The population of the village was near about 21,922 when measured at the 2000 census because it is a census designated place. The name of the village has been derived from the famous colonist of those times, Marconi. It is the home place for a nationally discerned marching band and is considered to be an unorganized place inside the Town of Babylon. The Census Bureau has discovered that the total area of the hamlet is 3.7 square miles, 3.3 square miles of which is land and only 0.4 square miles is water. It is a cool place because the village receives an average of 49 inches of rain and 37 inches of snowfall every year. The average US city gets 25 inches of snowfall every year. About 70% of the people here are religious having faith in God and follow Christianity.
