The Garvies Point Museum and Preserve is a popular center for research on the island for geology and has also evaluated interest in the study of the Island's Aboriginal archaeology. The museum houses a collection of archaeological artifacts and geological processes. These collections are used in the exhibitions, educational programs and special research purposes held in the museum.
