Adirondack Museum

This is a spectacular museum situated on 32 acres of landscaped land offering scenic views of mountains and lakes. Houses a permanent collection of Adirondack artifacts which include rustic furnishings, wooden boats, sleighs and also works of art by Thomas Cole, Rockwell Kent and a lot of other artists. Open daily from 10:00 to 17:00 everyday.

Country Dreams Farm

Lake Placid is among the very few places offering sleigh rides and so travelers can treat themselves with a horse-driven sleigh rides covered in blankets amidst enjoying the view of the city.

Mirror Lake

This lake can be fun when the summer gets over and the waters of Mirror Lake get too cold for swimming this quickly freezes making it a nice place in winters. Skating, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing can be great ways to explore the frozen lake.

Craig Wood Golf Course

This golf course offers a challenging golf in a landscaped setting designed by Seymour Dunn in 1925. A well maintained and strategically carved on the Adirondack countryside.
