Latham, hotel owner.It is located at the latitude 42.747 north and longitude 73.759 west. The elevation is 354 feet.Latham’s terrain is mostly a hilly mix of deciduous and evergreen trees, with some ponds, creeks and swamps, including several protected water courses and New York State Wetlands.Latham and its surroundings were controlled by the Dutch in the early 17th Century. This area was known at different times in its history as Yearsley’, Vranken’s, Town House Corners, and Latham’s Corners, which is named after the hotel owner William G. Latham.The popular event of this city is the Polish Festival, which is annually celebrated in the month of September. There many attractions in this festival, like the Pierogi Eating contest, Polk Mass, Children’s Games and Craft Activities, Cooking Demos, Homemade Polish desserts and so many, which makes this event special for the people to enjoy.
