The site is blessed with a number of historical places that reveals the history of past era. One example is the Montauk Point Lighthouse Museum. This historical museum was erected in the year 1796 and it is the oldest active lighthouses in the US. The museum features maritime history displays and there is an observation desk at the museum. This monument is located in the 1860 keepers house.
