St. Paul’s Chapel, an Episcopal chapel opened in 1766 is the oldest public building still used. This is the precise place where George Washington had worshipped and 9/11 recovery workers received round the clock care. This site is a center for worship and the arts apart from being a place of pilgrimage for all people. This is the oldest surviving historic building in this city.
