Central Park is a public urban park which is situated in the heart of Manhattan in New York City. Visited by around twenty-five million visitors per year, the park opened in 1857. In 1963, the park was designated a National Historic Landmark. Its architect was designed exclusively by landscape designer and writer, Frederick Law Olmsted and Calvert Vaux. The English architect in 1858. This most visited park in the United States was expanded to 843 acres from its original 770 acres of owned land. Tourists visit this park to see the wildlife and an oasis for migrating birds during the Fall and Spring.
