Washington Square Park is situated in the heart of Greenwich Village. This is a famous crowded square best known for its rebellious and bohemian character. People from all backgrounds roam to this large square which is lined with trees. The present park arch was built between 1890 and 1892 replacing a wooden arch which was created to commemorate the inauguration of centennial in 1889.
