Manhattan is one of the most famous and oldest of the five boroughs of New York. Its unique architecture and beauty has been attracting tourists around the world to explore. The skyscraper, former world’s tallest building (1890-1973), a 309 feet New York World Building on Park Row, former World Trade Centre, Central Park, African Burial Ground National Monument are some of the places worth visiting in Manhattan.

While being in Manhattan just to the north of Times Square extending down various side streets, you'll find the Broadway theatre district,we had a very good time there checking out shows,even during the day, a kiosk in the centre of Times Square sells half price tickets to various evening shows and afternoon performances. Although some are failed new shows soon to close, but many are outstanding shows near the end of long runs. A few are the most popular shows that have had group cancellations. So it's great to find also pretty good deals there! Off-Broadway theatre refers to less elaborate productions often held in less expensive venues elsewhere in the city. Some of these shows become so popular that they move to larger Broadway theatres. Others would turn off any mainstream audience. That's the way things go! Some Off-Broadway shows, as with many alternative music clubs, are in unsafe areas, where rents are cheap. When in doubt, take a taxi. Just to make sure avoiding unwanted doggy encounters...
