The Museum of Moving Image is a media museum located in the Kaufman Astoria Studio in Astoria, Queens. The museum was originally opened in 1977 as the Astoria Motion Picture and Television Center Foundation, but later in 1988 it was reopened as the American Museum of the Moving Images.The museum regularly holds various exhibitions on the history of moving arts, live videos and film industry. The museum has a variety of artifacts and records depicting the entire history of filming industry, right from its beginning to the present.
