The census designated place and hamlet Roscoe is located at Sullivan County, New York. It belongs to the southwest portion of the Town of Rockland. The city has a nickname, ‘Trout Town, USA’. The city is best known for fly-fishing as it lies in between the two rivers. Roscoe is a traditional visiting place for tourists passing through the Route 17. Roscoe bears an elevation of 1,296 ft (395 m) and falls under the time zone of Eastern (EST) (UTC-5). The city extends to an area of 1.9 kilometer squares which is fully occupied by land. As per the 2000 census, the city occupies 597 people and follows a harmonious racial make up which includes 95.14% White, 1.68% Asians, 1.17% African Americans, 1.84% people from two other religions and 0.17% from other religions.
