The Saugerties Lighthouse is a beautiful redbrick lighthouse built in 1869 at the mouth of the Esopus Creek. The Saugerties Lighthouse Conservancy maintains the lighthouse and also plans for the enjoyment of the public.
The light house offers swimming, picnicking and bird – watching. The Lighthouse can be reached by boat or via the half a mile of nature trail at the end of the Lighthouse Drive in the village of Saugerties, New York.
