The Saugerties historical society museum is one of the popular museums which provide the information about the art, local information and many memorabilia. It has the culture of celebrating history day each October.The museum gets the support of the local schools in the education of American local history. The activities include scrubbing clothes on a washboard, spinning wool and writing with a quill pen, which attracts the students to learn about their culture.The kiersted is a type of community center house which holds concerts with the community bands on the beautiful lawn and gardens of the house.
