Syracuse is a city in the Onondaga County of the New York state in USA.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 25.6 square miles with a population of 147,306.

Many small neighborhoods surround the city while the Finger Lakes Region lies at the northeast corner.

The Lake effect and nor'easter snow results in constant snowfall with occasional blizzards and Syracuse receives more snow on an average than any other large city in the USA. So far its highest record is 192.1 inches.

The summer months are generally hotter and winters are chilly. Syracuse is located at the intersection of Interstates 81 and 90 and has functioned as a major crossroad station first for Eric canal and presently for the Railway Network.

It also has the largest airport in the region.
