Watkins Glen stands on boundary of towns such as Montour and Dix. Situated on Seneca Lake’s southern tip, Watkins Glen happens to be site of ‘Watkins Glen State Park’. It’s, however, best-known with regards to its role in ‘auto racing’.
Watkins Glen got incorporated in the year 1842. It was, however, renamed as ‘Watkins’ to honor Dr. Samuel Watkins, i.e. its founder.
