Yonkers Raceway is a ½-mile standard bred racing track and New York state-approved video-lottery terminal racino.

The Hudson River Museum offers spacious galleries for various art exhibitions and it also has a planetarium.

The Philipse Manor Hall is a stylish Georgian mansion and is one of the region's oldest existing structures and presently being used for musical performances, ceremonies and celebrations, special exhibitions and public meetings.

Sherwood House has been well-furnished and restored with suitable period antiques; and is open to visitors for guided tours conducted by hostesses in period costumes.

Some annual events in Yonkers such as the Yonkers Hudson River fest, is a multi-cultured festival celebrated each fall and brings thousands of visitors to enjoy  crafts, ethnic food, entertainment and exhibits.

The Yonkers Philharmonic Orchestra gives live performances 5 times a year in the city.
