Biltmore Estate is a house which was built by George Washington Vanderbilt within the period of 1888 and 1895. It is considered one of the largest private homes in United States with an area of 175,000 square feet and 255 rooms. It is one of the magnificent edifices that represent the Gilded Age. One can find some terrific masterpieces by Renoir, tapestries of 16th century; chess sets used by Napoleons a library with 10,000 books and a banquet hall with 70 foot ceiling.
