Brevard is a town which is situated in Transylvania County in North Carolina. This is the county seat of Transylvania County. This town is situated at the entrance to the Pisgah National Forest and it has become a well known tourism place for the tourists. The city is nicknamed as the “Land of Waterfalls” as it has various waterfalls in the area like the Connestee Falls, the Sliding Rock and the Looking Glass Falls. It is also home to the Brevard White Squirrel Festival.
As per the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.5 square kilometers, of which 0.1 kilometers is land and 0.21 percent is water.
The town has had estimation of 6,643 people as per the 2005 Census.
