The US National Whitewater Center [USNWC] is situated on the Catawba River banks in Charlotte in North Carolina of the US.
It is the world’s largest artificially created re-circulating whitewater river designed by 3-time Olympic winner Scott Shipley. It is also officially used as a training facility for US Olympics.
The USNWC was opened in August 2006 and occupies around 307 acres of space. It operates as a non-profit and locally owned public- adventurer and sports facility.
Activities like Kayaking, whitewater rafting, hiking trails and mountain biking are held for enthusiasts of various skill levels. It also has a stage for live performances and special entertainment events.
