Graham is a city which is located in Alamance County. It is a part of the Burlington, North Carolina Metropolitan Statistical Area. Graham was laid out in the year 1849 as the county sear of Alamance County, which was newly formed. Graham was incorporated as a town in 1851 and became a city in 1961. It was named after William A Graham, the US Senator from North Carolina and the Governor of North Carolina.

As per the 2009 estimates, the population of Graham County is 7,858. 2000 Census shows the population as 12,833, which means the population percentage, is 0.03 percent only.
